end of the year crazy!

Being a teacher at the end of the school year is just as stressful as being the student! ARGHHH! I am soo overwhelmed! I thought life after school was supposed to be easier! I have report cards to write, a talent show to plan, Father's day program, and I am helping with the yearbook...ok breathe Lisa! Well the good thing is that I have already packed up half of our apartment. So atleast I got a head start on that! It looks like a disaster area now!...We are craving to be in our new apartment! The weather is so hot and we just want to be in our new apartment with our pool on the roof! Those europeans sure know how to use every inch of space right?

I need a vacation really soon!!! I can' t wait till school is out!!! 5 more weeks...

I just love my girls at church! I feel so happy when I am with them. They hosted an evening tea party...it was so beautiful. I mean they put so much thought into it and decorated the tables so nicely! Becca is a true party planner!...and the best part is that tomorrow is an Austrian holiday which means NO SCHOOL! yahoo! am I kid or what?...so I didn't have to worry about leaving early because of work the next morning. It was so beautiful and fun and such good quality time getting to know the girls. I met an awesome girl named Valentina. She is Austrian and is getting married to an American boy. So we have a similar situation in our relationships! anyways, I am so excited for this four day weekend!!! ahhhh!!! I can actually have time go shopping and use my gift certificates from christmas!!! and Cheree and I are going to the bagel and coffee shop for breakfast!...and Christian and I are going with some friends to Bratislava, Slovakia on Saturday just for fun and enjoy everything half the price of Vienna!...and sometime during the weekend we have to start loading these boxes of stuff from our apartment to begin our moving process! yeah!...

I'm a Godmother!

wow! I am so excited and honored about the fact that one of my best friends Kristin asked me to be the Godmother of her new baby! Kristin and Ryan-I am so honored to be Leslie's Godmother! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! :) Kristin is like a sister to me since we grew up together since we were in diapers. We went through every lifestage together...from taking a 2 hour walk in Ocean City without telling our parents,to taking apart dolls in her basement, and many other bad things she got me into when we were young... to watching "Grease" and "Father of the Bride" so many times that our tapes are scratchy...then to graduations, to being bridesmaids in eachothers weddings and now motherhood! :) It's a long story too-but the names "Leslie and Karen" were the miscommunicated names of Lisa and Kristin in Ocean City for 2 missing children! The police and beach patrols were looking for us! The lifeguards mixed up signals and our names came out to be a little off! Now Kristin has a baby named Leslie! Uh oh...we better keep that story a secret! I love you Kristin! :)

Super weekend:)

So we were supposed to get this awful rainy weather from Italy this weekend...and it was supposed to rain nonstop all weekend long!...well God was good to us and gave us 4 hours of sunshine yesterday!...yesterday in the city was the STADTFEST (city fest), there was live concerts and music all over the city. Well we met up with Christian's parents in the city by accident! and then we met up with some friends...we were walking to a concert and while the band was setting up, the dj on the street was playing music and people started to dance. Next thing we know it-there is a HUGE street disco in the middle of Vienna! So we joined in and Christians mom took pictures! People made a big circle and were watching everyone in the middle dance! So fun!

Then this morning, Christian and I had to go to a 1st communion in a catholic church! (the pictures above are from the communion) 5 of my kids from my 2nd grade class were celebrating their 1st communion and they invited me to come. I couldn't pass up the invitation since they begged me! Okay so I haven't been to a catholic church since I was 12 years old! I have to say it wasn't as bad as I expected! The music was modern and they even played the intstrumental version of "This is the air that I breathe"...unbelievable! The kids were so cute and all the parents and kids got to meet Christian. It's so different seeing them outside of school. One of the parents invited us to their house for a party. I mean that would never happen in America right? haha!...so we went! It was so fun!

I was just browsing through last years vacation pics from Greece...my mouth is drooling...ahhhh I am such a beach bum! I need a vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't look at these pictures anymore...2 more months and school is out! Jetzt gehts Los!

the sunken cruise ship in Santorini

I forgot to post this awhile ago to my friends who didn't believe me that last year our cruise ship was in the island of Santorini, Greece-the same place that the cruise ship sank this year! So many cruise ships go there every year...if they are smart, they don't go too close to the rocky shore...so forget the fact that a cruise ship sank there...you definitely have to see this island! It was my favorite one in Greece! It is up on a hill and you have to ride a donkey to go up to the top! so fun!
