almost Spring Break!

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday...3 days! Thank you Lord! and then it is FINALLY spring break! I am such a complainer...I just had a week off school in February and its only March and I'm complaining about wanting another break!

Well we are definitely going to Munich. In fact my Aunt Else (well okay she is my Great Aunt) called me on my cell phone this weekend! it was so funny! I had to speak in German to her and I am still shocked that she understood me! We will drive up and Christian will stay till Tuesday. He has to get back to work, but I am going to stay till Saturday and just go back by train! The last time I was there 3 years ago and Else cooked so much food everyday...too much! I was all alone and had to eat it all!...this time Christian is with me, so he can be the dog and finish what I can't!

I love Vienna but I am excited to go out a bit to another country and feel like I am "AWAY!!!"

fun!

Hali Hello!!! we had such a fun party last night with my coworkers at school for the newly engaged teachers!...its so much more fun to hang out outside of school in someones apartment and you just see them in a different setting than school school school...and all the boyfriends/husbands came too! we had a blast together and such a mix of Austrians and Americans! but we sure got home late! we got on the last tram and subway for the night!...and we were sprinting running to catch it!...way to go Mimi who just ran in the tracks of the tram so he couldnt go anywhere anyway! :) so then we got home...and I still had to take a shower and dry my hair! I think I got 4 hours of sleep!...the teachers were all a little out of it today and my voice has been hoarse the whole day! :) hehe! Leave it to the kids to tell you to your face that you look "tired"! which also is the same thing as saying "you look terrible!"

I will say it again and again I just love teaching in Austria! I get so much love from the kids here...they just run and hug you as soon as they see you!

St. Patrick's Day!

it was another fun weekend with my friend Demetri who drove up again from Budapest, Hungary. We celebrated St. Patty's Day altogether! They had a big live music festival and a parade in the city! If my dad saw this picture and saw that I was not wearing green, I would be in big trouble! Honestly, I hate the color green on me! Not a good excuse, I know! This is us in front of the Belvedere Palace! It was such a beautiful, warm, sunny day!...but again just like Maryland weather-this week we will get snow and cold weather again!

Austrians steal our hearts!

Every time I hear more of my friends getting engaged, it makes me want to go back and plan another wedding all over again! I miss it so much! It was so much fun and everything was so exciting! I would sit at work and look at wedding magazines...and I would fly home every few weeks to do wedding planning with my mom! now my coworkers at school Chris and Sam are engaged! yahoo!...and I was jumping up and down screaming with excitement and we talked in my classroom about weddings till 5!...I had no idea what time it was! so another international relationship! she is Austrian and he is American...there is just something about Austrians that steal our american hearts!!! that makes all my coworkers at school married or engaged to Austrians!!!

3 hour service!

I just realized that I haven't posted anything since last sunday...

wow! well I have never been in church for 3 hours and not once looked at my watch!...even more shocking is that I can't believe Christian lasted that long! I guess thats how good it was! We had a special revival service today with a special guest speaker...the international service was mixed with the african service!...and they taught us white people how to dance! they played some of their african worship songs and I felt like I was in Africa!...today was the best worship service ever! haha!...I am just so thankful that God has put this church and these people into our lives now!

I hope everyone has a great week!...ok so how many more weeks until spring break??? 3!!!...hmm that is still too many! We will drive to Germany for part of Spring Break...Christian and I will be visiting my relatives (my grandma's sisters) in Münich and sightseeing around at the Neuschwanstein Castle...I met my relatives there for the first time 3 years ago and I havent been back since...so now they have to meet Christian! It is way overdue and I feel so guilty! It will be so much better now since I can speak so much more German than I could when I first met them! And with Christian, we will definitely not have to use the german/english dictionaries this time! I am so excited to see them again-Hans is the cutest old man in the world!

weekend...

what a busy week that was...I have finally had a chance this weekend again to catch up...I needed this weekend SO BAD!!! after field trips and a greek party in school last week i am dead! we have to take our class on a field trip once a week. but its so much fun to go out in the city with them. we went to the snowglobe museum and this little place is where the first snowglobe was ever made! the snowglobes in NYC are even made in Austria! there is a special secret they have to make the snow float around longer than the cheap ones from china!...

it was sad this week to say goodbye to my greek boy in class...we made a party for him...his mom came with greek food! yummy! and she taught us how to dance!...

today church was so funny...Pastor Tom was totally on fire with jokes and his message was so practical about what destroys and builds relationships...some marriage jokes and he used three movie clips as examples. I love real life practical examples! it was crazy though because something happened with the child care program today and all of a sudden there were kids all over the church during worship!...one little baby stayed the whole service with his daddy next to us...he just chilled out on the floor so quiet and played!...he would come over to me and play with my shoes sometimes...i guess he thought they were cool cus they were so pointy!...i felt like a mom haha!...what a cool kid! he smiled so much and he was just so funny!...his dad had to go out of the room and so he asked me if i could watch the lil babe for a few minutes...he just watched his dad walk out of the room and chilled out with me and Christian! i luv this baby! ahh! I mean he just chilled out on the floor and you could listen to the message still without any distractions...Our church is growing so much that we have to get a new building. They are going to start having missions teams come and do construction work for the new church building this spring and summer...

well here we go with another week...i hope it won't be as busy...is spring break coming soon??? I need a vacation!!!
